Glasshouse Café


Cafe-Front of House Team Member

Candidates who are friendly, self-motivated, flexible, and hardworking with the ability to multitask. Our café is a bustling place with a high volume of dine-in and takeaway coffee, so the right person will thrive in a fast-paced environment. We would not be where we are today without our amazing staff, and as we grow we are looking to recruit the right people to join the café team. 

Safety and Hygiene: Candidates must adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring proper handling and storage of food and beverages.

Requirements:

  • Two years minimum Front Of House experience

  • Must be currently residing in New Zealand and available for interviews in Wellington

  • Weekend Availability: Must be available to work at least one weekend day, please specify if unable to do either Saturday or Sunday.

  • Available for 20+ hours each week.

  • Adaptability: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggling tasks efficiently while maintaining a high standard of service.

  • Hardworking: A strong work ethic, dedicated to contributing to the success of our café.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to take on various responsibilities and work collaboratively with the team.

  • Barista experience would be a bonus, but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement: Efficiently manage orders, interact with customers, and ensure a clean and organised workspace, contributing to an exceptional customer experience.

  • Atmosphere Creation: Build relationships with patrons, providing a welcoming and friendly environment that keeps them coming back.

  • Operational Support: Contribute to maintaining stock levels, routine equipment maintenance, and cleanliness standards, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

  • Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with colleagues, share responsibilities during peak hours, and foster a harmonious work environment.
