Glasshouse Café


Cafe - Weekend Front of House & Barista

Candidates who are friendly, self-motivated, flexible, and hardworking with the ability to multitask. Our café is a bustling place with a high volume of dine-in and takeaway coffee, so the right person will thrive in a fast-paced environment. We would not be where we are today without our amazing staff, and as we grow we are looking to recruit the right people to join the café team. 

Safety and Hygiene: Candidates must adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring proper handling and storage of food and beverages.

Requirements:

  • Available weekend days, rostered to one with ability to cover the other if needed.

  • Barista experience

  • Front Of House experience

  • Must be currently residing in New Zealand and available for interviews in Wellington

  • Additional barista training can be provided

Key Responsibilities:

  • Barista & Customer Engagement – Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages while efficiently managing orders, interacting with customers, and ensuring a clean and organised workspace to contribute to an exceptional customer experience.

  • Atmosphere Creation – Build genuine relationships with patrons, providing a warm and welcoming environment that encourages repeat visits.

  • Operational Support – Assist in maintaining stock levels, ensuring routine equipment maintenance, and upholding cleanliness standards to keep daily operations running smoothly.

  • Team Collaboration – Work seamlessly with colleagues, share responsibilities during peak hours, and foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
